PHP function for Reading Barcode from Image

I'm running a AMI Linux server in AWS and want to upload images and have the barcodes detected and parsed. I've already created all the other infrastructure, and I've tried to use php libraries out there for this purpose but can't seem to get it working. What I expect from you is: 1. a PHP function/block of code that will accept a local image file path as an input, and the returned output would be the barcode number itself, if it finds one in the image 2. help installing any dependencies on my server It only has to accept a single image as an input, not a video stream or anything. I don't mind either using a library, or using an API, to get this information. If using an API, cost will be a factor to consider. Thanks for your time.

Hi there, What kind of barcodes are in the image, do you have samples? Would the image be always the same format or would the barcoding format / location on the images vary? Hello, I can do this in PHP, but if you don't mind I prefer doing the actual processing via python and the return the result in any format you wish. Of-course I will assist you to setup the script and debug any issues may occur. Just to clarify though. What types of barcodes are you planning to use? 1D, 2D? Should I detect orientation?
