I have set up Content Management System for Drupal 7, which allow to acess stndard nodes and edit them.
I used drupal forms and the function drupal_add_tabledrag ([login to view URL]![login to view URL]) to give the form a drag & drop feature so the user can re order the content easily. The position in the list is determined by a drupal integer field for the weight, which is updated when the user save the form.
It works well. The problem is when there so much content, that I am allowed to use a pager. In this case, the drupal_add_tabledrag () seems to be buggy, because it reorder the content by taking values that are not present in the current page. Then it causes issues between content because some weight values are duplicated.
Please see this post on [login to view URL]: [login to view URL]
And the gif attached ([login to view URL])
As you can see in the video, when the page load the two nodes have -1 and -2 as weight for the order in the list. But when change the order with drag & drop, the weight values go crazy by incrementing each time the value; instead of just interchange these values.
I need to fix this issue, by forcing the drag & drop feature to use only values present on screen to reorder the content.
I have worked with drupal severally and I am an expert in JavaScript. Though I have not particularly worked with that drag and drop feature I am sure I can figure it out.
