Help with Magnific Popup (wordpress, php)

I'm looking for help with the following to do with "Magnific" popups in wordpress to execute a php form and not refresh the underlying page (I'm using wordpress w/divi theme, php, and mysql). I want to use the Magnific popup feature of wordpress, and can get it to work if calling up a picture, audio etc., but not when using a php form. As best I can tell, the php doesn't execute. I can get the page to open if I just do something like "http://localhost/[login to view URL]", or execute something like: <script> jQuery(document).ready(function() { $('#myform2').submit(function() { [login to view URL]('', 'formpopup', 'width=400,height=400,resizeable,scrollbars'); [login to view URL] = 'formpopup'; }); }); </script> So I think php works in my setup. Also, in various attempts, the form opens but replaces and refreshes to original page (I want a popup to close after a submit that leaves the underlying page "un-refreshed"). I have attached my current code. I need the code to do the following: - user clicks on a link (I'm using the "<a class="popup"..." shown in my example) - that opens a popup that is a php form that ideally isn't a separate page but a magnific popup - the user can complete the form, submit (ultimate I need this to work with mysql but for now just knowing the php code is working is my goal) - the user submits, the popup closes, but the submit does not refresh the underlying page - ideally, this would allow me eventually to use forms as templates, where I'm passing data from user input into mysql but that's not what I'm trying to accomplish yet..
