You're looking to do just the type of project I've done a number of times, moving what was running on one server onto another (or from collocated server to multiple Linode slices for high availaiblity). If you are planning to have the file system on the dedicated server setup identically to the VPS, what you're looking to do is a project of moderate difficulty, but can be accomplished with little downtime as long as you're able to get DNS changes made and so forth. If, as part of this move, you are looking to increase availability and performance, or to do anything other than move over the data and the WP sites, this project becomes more complex and you may want to spend some more time specing it, which I'd be happy to help you do. I actually have a fairly good block of time from this Thursday through Sunday that I could accomplish the project in ... if the specs are as described. It could take a few more days if you want to look at expanding the scope to increase reliability and performance further. I've not dealt with Bluehost...partial to Linode myself...but back in the day (1997) I ran my own hosting firm, and once you get to the command line they really have few differences. Could we chat more about the scope, and make sure what you've started is really the solution that will fix the problem that's causing you pain?
