We currently have a Wordpress website which allows a person to go on and create a profile (add their personal details in order to join a specific group). I am not very clued up with the jargon involving this, but apparently its a CMS based website. I have a whole new business idea which I want to build on the same platform and basically just change the content. I would however like to use a different template (a very standard one pager). I was told that as soon as you change the template, all the work that has been done up until now will be lost.
