Convert PHP encryption function to javascript

I have the following PHP encryption function which is used in one of our applications, but we need a javascript version of it; not a Node-type script which can only be run from the command line, but one which can be called from a web page. I don't know a lot about javascript, but I read that if not done correctly, cipher functions in Javascript can be insecure. So this one would need to be secure. Here's the php version: function create_token_id($data, $key) { $tid = openssl_encrypt($data, "aes-128-cbc",$key,0,"0123456789ABCDEF"); return(urlencode($tid)); } If the Javascript function uses an outside encryption library, I need to know how to install it in CentOS Linux. And the Javascript function has to return exactly the same value as the PHP function, or our application won't work correctly.
