POS System

Looking to have a Windows 32bit compatible point of sale system written in Delphi 6 Client->Server architecture with MSSQL MSDE backend. Server will run as the SQL connection. All requests for transactions will be sent to the server for processing and sent back to the register.

System should be similar to COMCASH POS ([[url removed, login to view]][1]) and RETAIL PRO ([[url removed, login to view]][2]) but with the true client-server architecture.

Total of 3 programs.

1) Register program for ringing up sales.

2) Manager program for adding products, etc.

3) Inventory program for receiving/submitting orders.

Program must have the following capabilities:

-Cashier specific Security Settings

-Secure communications between server and client

-Scalable to allow 10+ registers processing sales at once

-Process Sales

-Track Customer Activity

-Track Inventory

-Create Purchase Orders

-Receive Goods

-Allow layaways

-Allow invoices to be placed on hold

-Unlimited taxes

-Unlimited price levels

-Reporting using crystal reports

Would like the software to be modularized so further enhancements can be added and loaded into the existing system without requiring code changes to the main modules.

Spec and database schema will be released as they comes available.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
