Duties:
Identification of competitive services and opportunities for innovation
Identify technology trends & evolving social behavior that influence business
Anticipate & react to major technology changes
Work with product team to identify requirements/feasibility of features for development
Develop proprietary tools based on business needs
Identify, prioritize development initiatives, setting/meeting aggressive timetables
Direct development & execution of enterprise-wide information security plan
Direct & execute an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan
Build & manage internal and external teams
Oversee dev & deployment of infrastructure
Overall Project Management
Communication of strategy to investors, mgt, staff, partners, media, etc.
Build an infrastructure that can scale to millions of registered and active users
Define organization’s software development methodology
Establish a specification conformance and testing regimen
Establish & supervise QA process, includes integration & system testing
Select, deploy and monitor performance profiling tools and procedures
Evaluate and select web application hosting providers
Establish an application deployment process
Monitor app performance & review any app failures in staging or production
Analyze server workload, including traffic and utilization trends
Establish and monitor an analytics regime that measures performance to goals
Review and approve proposed development releases
Evaluate search engine optimization
Information technology – working with the manager of information technology, ensure the ongoing maintenance and updating of information systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, and ASP applications
Qualifications
Experience in building large scale web applications
Experience in integrating 3rd party interfaces
Experience in a startup environment
Ability to manage engineering teams (QA, Dev, Ops)
Ability to keep remote teams on track
Proficiency with several web programming languages (PHP, C#, Java, Ruby, Python, etc)
Proficiency with front end web technologies (XML, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax)
Proficiency with several RDBMSs (MySQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc)
Experience with key / value stores and other caching systems (Memcachd, Redis, etc)

- I worked with small teams but never as Lead Software Engineer
+ I'm always work with remotely with other devs
+ At least 2 years of experience with the following language : C, Python and Ruby. Also basic knowledge of PHP.
+ Solid experience with the following front end web technologies: XML, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, CoffeeScript, Sass, JSON and multiple template frameworks such as HAML, ECO and Underscore. I also work with Twitter Bootstrap and Compass.
