Social Network Focused on Entertainment

We are looking for someone who has a solid understanding of online social networking sites to develop a friendster/myspace/facebook type site but catered to the events and nightlife party industry. To give you an example of what we mean by the nightlife events industry you can check out www.climaxnyc.com. We plan to license the base social network framework code from a canned product written in PHP/Mysql from a company that sells basic social network code. However we will be adding a significant amount of new features as well as customizing and tweaking a significant amount of the existing base code in order for it to serve our business objectives. We will essentially need a developer with extensive experience in developing in PHP, XML, JavaScript, data modeling, and database development in MYSQL. We will also be adding a mobile component to our social network. We would like our users to be able to send mobile text messages to all of their friends within their personal circle via our online system. Therefore, an understanding of mobile technologies is also quite crucial. Please make place a bid and describe your experience in similar projects and technologies so that we may contact you with a full RFP. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
