Physical Drive

Hi

Can someone figure out how to convert logical hard drive to physical drive without using WMI?

I need a program sample written in C++ on how to convert any drive on a computer to the physical drive without using WMI

Example:

Drive C: is on physical drive \\.\PhysicalDrive0

Drive D: is on physical drive \\.\PhysicalDrive0

Drive E: is on physical drive \\.\PhysicalDrive1

etc.

Someone ask me to be more specific:

On a computer you can install multiple physical Hard drives. On each hard drive you can make multiple partitions/logical drives. I need to know what partition/logical drive is on each physical drive? WITHOUT using WMI (**W**indows **M**anagement **I**nstrumentation).

WMI is:

A programming interface (API) in Windows that allows system and network devices to be configured and managed. WMI is based on WBEM, which stores all definitions in a CIM database. WMI uses a subset of SQL called the "WMI Query Language" (WQL) to access managed objects through VBScripts or Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-ins.
