I am looking for a Delphi 5 programmer to provide code compatible with Win95, 98, ME running on a PII 166 or faster machine to perform the following: 1. Generate tones representing Morse code from a user specified input text file. The Morse alphabet will be provided later. 2. This program will demonstrate that the required routines work. I want to use the routines in a larger project, so please don't waste time developing a pretty GUI. I want the generated sound to play like it were a song except every sound will have the same pitch, duration of dots will be uniform, as well as the duration of dashes. 3. The user must be able to choose the duration, pitch, and interval between letters for the dot and dash sounds. There will be four intervals. One for the spacing between sounds generated to represent a letter, then for the interval between letters in a word. The next one is for the interval between words in a sentence. And the final interval is the delay between sentences. Create the Procedures/Objects so that all sound functionality is available for modification (any other qualities I can modify in the midi, wave, or other sound format). 4. The program will contain procedures that will create & play a sound file (midi, wave,MP3,etc - programmers choice of a single sound format). The file should be saved to the hard drive for future playback. 5. During the above create and play - an option to stream the sound "real time" in lieu of writing to the hard drive will be available. A small delay between the request to stream and the playback is acceptable. This delay may be used to ensure the reading of a file and generating sound does not impede the ability to stream sound. Therefore, the timing between characters in the playback must meet user specified timing. 6. The sound routine should allow a file or stream to loop. If the user was going to learn the word "cat," I would like the three letters to play, slight pause and repeat endlessly until the user asks it to quit. A circular data structure should be considered. I am concerned about the overhead of resetting the file and starting it again and/or the cost (in time) of generating a new instance of either. 7. If possible, parsing and sound routines need to be provided in DLLs and the demo program must utilize these libraries. If this is not possible justification is required.
## Deliverables
Complete and fully-functional working program in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. Code must be documented for modification if necessary to match specification changes. Variables must be given meaningful names so as to ease readability. Code will be written in indented format to show algorithm nesting and loops. Each Routine, Procedure, or Object should be written to be cut-and-paste into a new program. Global variables should be avoided. If global variables are necessary, please document and justify. Exceptions to any of the specifications or deliverables mentioned above must be agreed to by both parties in writing. Additional features will require buyer to generate a new bid which will be closed to rented (selected) programmer utilizing the Rent-A-Coder site.
## Deadline information
Programmer should be proficient in sound manipulation, streaming audio, and Delphi.
