URGENT : Issue in Messaging based App on Android I am looking for an experienced Android developer who can help me out with an issue in an Android Chat / Messaging app. I got some problem while working with fragmentStatePagerAdapter, I have 3 fragments in my view pager and on Restart of activity I want to update the view which is in the view pager. I have used recycler view in second fragment. I have handled most of the cases as per my requirement but while testing I got the problem in Moto G3 and Lenovo K3 : When my app is in background, user receives a new message and user comes from shuffling between apps or by coming from notification then the app is not refreshing the view. Although, I have introduced some sound on an in-coming message in chat, I can hear the sound in that case but i'm not able to see any message. My message screen is blank in this case. Also, This issue is not with every phone and only with MotoG3 and Lenovo K3 (as of now). I have used this method [login to view URL]().notifyDataSetChanged(); for the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated. *ONLY SERIOUS AND EXPERIENCED DEVELOPERS APPLY !* I am looking for a long term engagement with the freelancer and will be providing more projects going forward.

I faced this problem before. It is not a problem of the adapter but the fragment itself. Not sure about how you code it but I fixed it by changing to use FragmentPagerAdapter. The fragment state will not be remembered anymore.
