It made for Oil & Gas industry; it is used to track the depth of the drill bit during drilling operation. The Depth Tracker device performs the following measurements: -Real Time Clock for timestamping -Bit Depth -Hole Depth -Hook Load -Weight on Bit (WOB) -Rate of Penetration (ROP) -Slips (ON or OFF) -Encoder Count -Load Cell Current -Calibration Status (Yes or NO) -System Error Every time a depth tracker is deployed, it needs to be configured through the software. The depth tracker includes a USB to serial converter that, when plugged into a PC’s USB port, shows up as a ‘COM’ port.
