I have perfmon counters batch file that captures all performance related counters like Page Life Expectancy, Buffer Cache Hit Ratio, Total Server Memory, Target Server Memory, Avg Disk Sec/Read, Avg Disk Sec/Write, %CPU utilization, Available Memory and many others. I am SQL DBA. Since 13 years working into IT. Total 5 years of experience as dedicated MSSQL DBA.

Dear Hiring Manager I have been working as Data warehouse consultant for telecom companies. I am very familiar with your requirement and I can assure you that I am very good in it. What i have understand your task has two parts. First, identify the KPIs that you want to see in your report for analysis. Second, calculate those KPIs and load them into table to maintain history as you have mentioned 30 days of history. To complete this task you need to get View Server State permissions and View Database State permissions also. After that we can get system related information attached to each query. How I am going to this task: We will get information (cpu usage, skew, IO etc) from each query and aggregate them as per your requirement (minutes, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly) and then we will put them in a table. And your report will access this table to get the information. Additional KPIs in my mind while writing this proposal: .Total amount of CPU Time .Minimum CPU time .Maximum CPU time .Total number of physical reads during execution .Total CLR time .Total execution time .Query hash . Table name which is being access most (Business justification: So we can optimize that table) . Hi sir, Already I have experience implementing Powershell to SQL server to get the metrics. I am going to use the PowerShell scripting to get the metrics because If we used in inside the SQL server it will affect the performance for current SQL server. So It will be better to run the PowerShell as task scheduler to get the metrics. If you provide this project to me then I can deliver the efficient output to you. Also, I have good knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server performance tuning using various tools(execution plan). Also, I have implemented Auto restart and check the SQL instance state using PowerShell it will avoid the unwanted site downtime and know the issue of the client. To get the CPU, DISK IO, Memory, page life expectancy, Database IO, logical read and writes using SQL system tables is very difficult so I am going to use PowerShell to get the metrics. Please get me the more insight about your requirement and you will get the best result from me. How you provide the job, sharing your credential to use your system to work or you need a script for testing the project output? The above both working methods are compatible for me.
