Hello Javascript experts,
In my website, I have a simple javascript for opening image from disk, resize the image and display it in canvas. The code works fine in desktop and mobile phones. But for mobile-phone users such as iphone/android, have problem in displaying the image in some cases. This is because of the current exif metadata parsing library is not working well or the integration is has bugs.
You can see this for yourself if you follow these steps.
1) Use iPhone (or andriod) and go to: [login to view URL]
2) Click browse
3) Take a photo in portrait mode (vertical orientation) and click ok.
4) Now you can see black padding in the right side of displayed image.
5) Use android or iphone in landscape mode (rotate phone to right with home button on left)
6) Now you can see just a black box.
Kindly bid if you can fix its issues or offer a solution. The javascript in this site is capable of doing the following.
1) Open image and Resize the image.
2) Based on the exif data, rotate the image into normal view
3) Allow user to rotate the image, if needed.
4) Upload the image to asp.net server side using "WebMethod" api.
5) The javascript is capable of working in desktop browsers and mobile browsers.
The backend is coded in c#. The project is developed in VS2013. I will provide the solution files in VS2013 to you once this project is awarded for you.
In summary, our goal is to make this app capable of working in all popular in desktop browsers and mobile browsers. I hope you will have minimal test setup of at least an iphone and a android and a desktop.
Expecting your expert help.
2 years ago I made something similar. The project didn't auto rotate some images. I read EXIFF data to get image orientation and fixed JavaScript. Your project may be harder for me since it uses asp.net. I usually work with PHP on server side.
I made some tests.
In Android/Default Browser Browse button doesn't work at all.
In Android/Firefox I noticed problem with one image.
In Windows/Firefox I noticed problem with one image.
Please give me example of photos with description what problem every photo produce and where.
