We need someone that can do J2ME Code Signing using Thawte cert and Netbeans, and on Samsung phones.
We've been doing it and we keep getting "Invalid file" error in Samsung phones. Seems like this error only happens in Samsung phones.
We followed, [login to view URL]
I’ve checked the JAD file and it contains something like this :
MIDlet-Certificate-1-1: MIID…
MIDlet-Certificate-1-2: MIIE…
MIDlet-Certificate-1-3: MIIE…
MIDlet-Certificate-1-4: MIID…
MIDlet-Jar-RSA-SHA1: OFf1…
For additional info, I’ve used the same PC and browser when generate the keystore and CSR and also when request certificate on Thawte website (we already purchased the cert).
We need someone to assist in this and solve the "invalid file" error.
Desired result: To successfully install and run 6 J2ME apps into these Samsung phones,
-Libre
-Genoa
-Acton
-Corby
-Star
-Monte
I have done something similar to this. I have done application code signing using VeriSign certificate.
There is a constraint that whatever maybe the certificate VeriSign/Thawte the device needs to have the corresponding root certificate. If the device doesn\'t have Thawte root certificate, an application signed using Thawte root certificate will not work on that device.
Few mobile phone carriers might have removed those root certificates from their devices, and those devices might have this problem.
