Ripple Junction is searching for a Part-Time Junior Copywriter to join our growing Marketing team. The Junior Copywriter is responsible for writing product descriptions for our growing catalog of apparel and products representing the top TV, Movie, Anime, Video Game, Music, and Pop Culture licenses.
We’re looking for funny, clever, witty, knowledgeable, and passionate fans who are not looking to turn in status quo (read: boring) product descriptions. If you can write a compelling description about our Dragon Ball Z t-shirt that equally highlights the product and makes fun of Yamcha, then you just might be our guy/gal. This is the perfect opportunity for recent college grads or folks looking to build a copywriting portfolio.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Produce a steady flow of product descriptions (no quotas, but we’re fast-paced)
• Work with Marketing Manager and E-comm team to prioritize copy needs based on product demand
• Independently educate self on all our licenses and brands in order to bring your compelling- copy-skills to multiple genres.
• Be a pop culture sponge, up to date on trends, memes, and jokes. We like jokes.
• Organize all your work so it is easily accessed and implemented by our Ecomm team.
• Spell check, grammar check, and fact check all your own work, plus respond quickly and rationally to edit requests.
• Produce additional content as needed by Marketing Manager
• Provide ideas and suggestions for improving the content creation process
REQUIREMENTS:
• Comfortable utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Drive
• Experience producing additional marketing content, including but not limited to advertisement copy, blog posts, and social media
• Responsible enough to work remotely and manage your own time
• An understanding of SEO and content optimization is a plus
