Creation of a Chess-like Gaming App

I'll keep this short and sweet as its purely speculative at the moment.

I developed a board game a number of years ago which is most similar in style and play to Chess, but with different pieces, moves, board dynamics, etc.

With board games being notoriously difficult to get off the ground I'd like to start making moves towards developing the game as an app for tablets instead.

Like most Chess apps, I'm thinking of a 2D, top down view, with fairly basic graphics, and just Player Vs AI with varying levels of difficulty.

Again, I've set the budget purely speculatively as I have no idea what the development of such an app will cost.
