Logo Design

A logo for a West African fabric and textile manufacturer who is starting to import into the US and broaden their distribution channel into other markets beyond their local bizarre. The company brand is "Step Up, West African Textile and Apparel." Step Up is to represent exactly what it means, step up your style, your game, your fashion, your life, your effort to a better one. It implies work effort, that there is hope, that your dreams are within reach. The company has envisioned a woman hand reaching up holding calabash, with the milk pouring from her palm. The calabash represents natures gift to the people of West Africa. The calabash plays a big role in their lives as it is used as a jug of water, to drink out of, to store herbs; it is heavily used in their lives. The idea being life gives you gifts all around you step up to them. A rough sketch is provided. We are not looking for an exact re-creation of the logo. We are open to designs that incorporate this idea and symbolism. The logo must be mnemonic, therefore easy to picture in mind and remember. NO 3D. Designed for all uses (imprint on a pen, embroidered on a shirt, as large as a billboard) and use in one color, greyscale or CMYK printed applications.
