I am a physician very experienced in using shock wave therapy ( ESWT) to treat disorders of tendons and bones. I have published numerous scientific studies on this topic, routinely give presentations at national and international meetings, and have a very busy clinical practice whereby I use shock wave therapy for appropriate indications.
I am seeking a 15-20 page eBook written for patients, “ A Patient’s Guide to Shock Wave Therapy,” that explains in layperson’s terms, how the procedure works (promotes blood flow to tissues that have a poor blood supply, stimulates growth factors, and utilizes the concept of “mechanic-transduction” to stimulate tissue remodeling and healing), the common indications, why it is an excellent alternative to other nonoperative procedures and surgery, the expected outcomes, and why it is used very commonly in Europe, South America, Asia, and gaining popularity in the USA.
I have written some of the content, but I do not have the time to finish this book,. I can provide EXTENSIVE editing and feedback to the writer to make sure the information is current and accurate. In addition, I have a very in depth knowledge of the appropriate background literature and can assist the author with a review.
I would like the book to be engaging, not just text. If possible, I would like it to have some animation. I envision a book much like I see on the marketing media platforms….see the ebook on the “ Main Street Hub” web site as an example.
This is not intended for an academic audience. Rather, the target audience is individuals with overuse, sports medicine, or degenerative tendon injuries who wish to learn more about ESWT and who may indeed be considering undergoing this procedure.
Please advise. Happy to answer any inquires as directed.
