We are a rapidly expanding Chocolate and Chai company which mainly sells products into the food service industry. We wish to dramatically increasing our online offering through both web and native apps. We are looking for a creative, energetic web designer and engineer to help us bring this to fruition. We would like to achieve a very functional and super fast web experience which will drive our customers to doing all there ordering online. To start with we will be using templates supplied by wordpress which we will add some custom extra functionality to, we would also like to use Amazon Web Services as a server. The successful candidate needs to possess a broad range of web essential skills such as: Experience with PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery (combined) Experience in responsive websites (Wordpress/Woocommerce & equivalent) Experience in creating cross-browser, cross-platform websites (E.g mobile friendly) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Sound understanding/experience in using Amazon Web Services Other skills which would be highly regarded: Ruby, .NET, Perl & equivalent Understanding of C++/OOP Experience at using Adobe Suite Ability to write clean code & produce lightning fast applications/web-pages Ongoing Duties to be performed during the contract: Work with company director and front-end developer to create a working application from wireframes/existing-design into a working solution. Customising and advising on interface to suit full requirements of the brief (e.g SSL for storing customer details or using apple technology to assist with speed of purchases). Provide support for the duration of the contract to sales manager/front-end developer for ongoing customisation & maintenance (e.g coupon codes & customer data). Criteria: Minimum 5 years experience in front-end development Portfolio/Examples of previous work Working hours are very flexible along with the location of work; however, at least 2-3 hours per week will need be put aside for face-to-face meetings or skype conversations with key stakeholders.
