Hi, I'm a 26 year old woman with skill in writing and 2D art. I want to create a mostly breeding game in which there's a decent amount of genetics at play. Eventually, in broad terms for the ability to recognize what kind of game I'm visualizing, it would be nice to have a game with elements from Stardew Valley (steam game) and an online breeding game such as Howrse (obviously, horses) or Waja (wolf creatures) or Furry Paws (dog breeder), though I'd like for it to be original enough both in content and mechanics not to spark too many "this is that combination" vibes, and I'd also like for it to feel a little more mature than some of the other types of games I've seen in this genre. This is going to be a browser game that is capable of user interaction in terms of messages and possibly hosting 'competitions' in which well-bred creatures could compete, with the programming deciding winners on a couple of factors. I'd prefer a system wherein genetic mechanics are as close to real genetics as possible, although obviously simplified to allow for playability, with the possibility for genes to skip a generation as well as to go by dominant / recessive genes (such as a Punnet Square) and to have the ability for a vet to show the player the DNA for their creature. Most importantly, I'd like the game to provide players with a real sense of companionship with their creatures and to have a lot of customization options, choosing between a lot of real animals (and breeds thereof) and a couple of fictional animals. I want to allow donations and to buy certain things with real money, but I'd like for those things to be aesthetic only, as I'd rather not run a pay-to-play. Also- I'm well aware that what I'm currently offering as a fixed price will not be enough to get everything done that I want to do. That's why I'm going to be re-hiring every month or two until the project is complete. So; right now, direction and a starting foundation would be lovely.
