Improve existing Windows driver (Cryptographic Service Provider, CSP)

The existing OpenPGP-CSP driver [1] enables support for OpenPGP Card smart cards in Windows. This project scope is to further improve the given CSP and create a shippable binary, which integrates easily in Windows environments. Task A) Migration of the project to Visual Studio 2017 Community The project was created in Visual Studio 2012 and should be transferred into a project for Visual Studio 2017 Community version. Library dependencies may have to be adapted accordingly. Task B) Fix of issues #1 smart card service restart [login to view URL] #2 Unicode error when asking for PIN [login to view URL] #3 Feature request: installation wizard [login to view URL] → Use either WiX integrated in Visual Studio or another Open Source based solution to create an installer #4 Creating cert key for CA: PIN request window in background [login to view URL] #5 Creating cert key for CA: installation succeeds with warnings [login to view URL] #6 Creating cert key for CA: expand availability of hash algorithms for signing certs [login to view URL] Task C) Targeted Systems The driver should work on both, current Windows desktop and server versions (as noted in the lifecycle fact sheet [login to view URL]). This includes Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 on the one hand and Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016 and Storage 2016 and the recent rolling release Server version. Task D) Localisation Support The project should get translated into different languages. To make this possible a suitable localisation system has to be integrated to replace currently hard coded text strings. Note: the actual translation is *not* in the scope of this project. Hardware and Requirements: The needed hardware for testing (e.g. smart card, smart card reader) are provided by the employer.
