The database consists of just two tables, both are very simple, one will store categories and the other will store HTML code.
Requirements:
Create an ASP.NET Core 2.1 Website
Two controllers with Read / Write Actions
1. Category Controller
a. Based on similar SQL Code to the following:
CategoryId Int Primary Key,
CategoryParentId Int (References the CategoryId
CategoryName nvarchar(MAX) NOT NULL
CategoryDescription nvarchar(MAX)
2. KB Controller
a. Based on the following database structure
KBId Int PrimaryKey
KBTitle nvarchar(MAX) NOT NULL
KBDescription nvarchar(MAX)
This will contain HTML Code Generated by the Summernote WYSIWYG editor
CreatedBy nvarchar(50)
CreationDateTime DateTime
CategoryId Int FKey [login to view URL]
b. Needs Summernote WYSIWYG Editor to be available when creating a new document / KB
c. Needs Summernote WySIWYG Editor to be available when editing a new document (if the user created the document or is in a particular permission group) see section 3.
d. View to be nicely set out like a MS Word / Wiki Article
e. Printer friendly view (A4)
3. Permissions
a. Based on the following database structure
PermissionId INT PrimaryKey
PermissionName NVARCHAR(MAX)
PermissionDescription NVARCHAR(MAX)
Administrator
Editor
View Only
Standard Local Login Functionality (provided by Visual Studio EF)
Must be logged in to access the site content.
Must have minimum of Editor Role to Create KB’s
