We need an algorithm written in any programming language for counting cells of a collection of images we will give you. The solution could be implemented in C#, Matlab, Java or C/C++. We will provide 20 images for your tests in jpg format and resolution of 352x288 pixels.
## Deliverables
**Visual analysis algorithm for counting cells**
We need an algorithm written in any programming language for counting cells of a collection of images we will give you. The solution could be implemented in C#, Matlab, Java or C/C++. We will provide 20 images for your tests in jpg format and resolution of 352x288 pixels.
We need:
1. Is desirable if you have some experience in visual analysis thus we need some references of your previous works/jobs with examples.
2. A solution for this problem with 90% of accuracy.
3. We need as a result of your algorithm / application the number of cells in each photo, a second image which comes from the original with the information of whatever your algorithm says that is a cell marked with a red colored area and the coords of the bounds for these areas. This information could be the result of the execution with each image separately.
Deliverables:
1. The first deliverable will be an algorithm to count cells in the provided images.
We will test the algorithm with another set of images (initially not provided to you) and measure the reliability of the algorithm. These images are of the same kind that the initially provided to you and same level of difficulty. We will inform you if something is wrong with our 20 images for any kind of modification. In this moment you will keep on working with 40 images. The initial 20 + the 20 used for testing to fine tune your algorithm.
2. The second deliverable will be the fine-tuned algorithm (tested with 40 images). At this point we will test the algorithm with 500 images (same type & difficulty level). We expect the algorithm to provide similar results than for the 40 images you used.
The final deliver will be all the source code with all the necessary comments packed and sended in a compressed file.
