database analysis program for windows
-i need a windows application which operates similar to a php-mysql database analysis script i currently have.
-it needs to be able to allow me to import an exported mysql database and perform a number of queries/calculations on the database (which the current php script performs so you will have a php example of all the necessary calculations)
-basically the queries/calculations involve a number of user rated opinion items (500-2000) and 10 or so variable drop boxes which the program user will be able to set to determine how the results display.
-i need the ability to re-label the variable names
-it needs to operate as shareware until registered, only a limited part of the program will work until then (for example the shareware user will be limited to seeing the results of only 10 or 20 preselected opinion items)
-it needs to have a computer based serial number registration system which can be set to never expire or expire after 1 year (depending on how i set it). i will need a registration key generator to send keys to registered users, or something to that effect.
-the imported database needs to be hidden/encrypted in some way in the application (to avoid theft of the database)
-the look of the program will be a 10+ variable drop boxes. after drop box selection, a list of the opinion items with calculation results will appear based on the variables (and calculations) selected.
what i imagine is that you build a master application-version which allows me to customize the end user version, allowing me to change the database (import a new one when necessary), set license expiration time, set which opinion items are activated for the shareware version, edit/delete database data, change the program name, change the program info, and change variable names (when i need to).
again, i already have a working php-mysql version of basically what i want for you to use as a model. the purpose of this 'windows' version is that it will be entirely offline and self contained. i guess it would be accurate to say i basically want an offline windows port of my online analysis script.
as for what language, i don't have a preference. and while windows is the main goal... if you can code so that it is multiplatform (windows, linux, mac) that would be great... but the priority is windows and i can live with a windows only port.
