Hi,
I need a piece of code to create a POP3 or IMAP account on an Android device (2.2 to 4.4) - that is, for the standard Android Email application. The email account is NOT a GMail one. Say it is for [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] would be used. I want to develop a small application to auto-configure IMAP and SMTP settings on an Android device. The IMAP account on the server would be existing.
I want a piece of code to create the Email account programatically - similar to what can be found here [login to view URL]
I want the new account to work when launching the Google Email application - just like if it was created manually by the user. I want the new account to be visible from Settings -> Accounts in Android.
I expect to receive a sample Eclipse project, showing also what application permissions are required. The project can work with Android 2.2 up to 4.4. It doesn't need to work on all versions, just one of them.
