My site is has Communityserver 2008.5 integrated to provided Wiki functionality. The Communityserver Wiki is hierarchical with each page being a sub page of a parent page (PageID & ParentpageID). The parent page is selected by a dropdown list. The Wiki is now getting large and it is becoming awkward to find pages using the drop down list. My requirement is for a dropdown treeview to replace the dropdown list.
The tree view can be an independent c# control which I can integrate into the edit page or a modification of the community server SDK itself. I would like the control to provide the following functionality:
* Clicking on the combo-box arrow will open a treeview (not a dropdown list).
* Populate on demand (via ajax call back). When the user expands a page node the child nodes are populated via a callback to the server (with a Loading ? message).
* The tree path to the parent page of the page being currently edited is automatically expanded when the tree view is first opened.
The bidder must be familiar with programming in the Communityserver 2008.5 environment, otherwise it is unlikely that the control will work properly. I am open to suggestions of an alternative method to achieve the required functionality.
