Our specification.
We have a limited number of products (less than 10 products).
On the planned e-commerce web site based on shopify, We will make events sales of these products.
For a given sale event, the administrator create the event; an event is defined by:
- the validity period: period during which customers can buy products
- products sold during the sale event: these products are selected from the list of possible products
- date of delivery of products to customers.
So this is how the site works:
- Administrator has the possibility to create products which can be sold in the web site; but at this step the product is not available for sale.
- Administrator creates 1 to n sale events, as described above. When the validity period of sale for an event sale arrived, then this event is opened to sale on the web site. Before the start of validity period, the event can be seen, but order can not be passed.
- Customer can view list of sale events; for each sale event, he can see list of products for this event; for a given event, if we are at its validity period, the customer can choose product from this event, put in basket, and process an order. An order is composed of products of a given sale event (ie an order for a sale event).
- A customer can initiate an order only if its zip code is contained in a baseline list of zip code. This baseline list of zip code is also fed by Administrator.
Want to base this small e-commerce site on shopify, with possibility to link with Facebook (for sale, marketing).
