We deal with a vendor that produces datafiles of products and pricing updates. We currently have all our data on a webserver and we are ale to pump down a text file from that webserver for data manipulation. We need a program that will take that file, reformat it so that we can import it into our website and additionally update the product based on part number. In addition to that we would need to determine wat products are new that we don't have in the file and format those as stated above and determine also what products no longer exist and remove those from the master file as well. If that is something you can tailor in access(take in the masterfile and manipulate it) so that what we get is a delimited text file output that we can upload to our website what would be fine. We have no need to overcomplicate what it is that we need.

From the project description I can understand that you require Access data manipulation. I have more than 10 years of expertise in numerous data format conversion, including ORACLE. Hi I can write an application in visual basic, The application will take the vendor's file , connect to your webserver, download the data to an access table, update the table by comparing it to the vendor's file and then give you a text file with the new data file in csv format. Apart from this I can generate an Excel compatible csv file which will have a list of products marked as new or marked as obsolete as the case may be Thanks Rajesh

I've done this type of project many times over the 16+ years of my career, and can ensure you'll be very satisfied with the work. It may be possible to deliver before 14 days, but I wanted account for unexpected issues with the project. It can be done in Access if you like, or a stand-alone program in Visual Basic, whichever is your preference. All I need is your sample vendor file and sample master file and a document detailing their data layout.
