a project on risk and reliability in civil engineering

Each student is expected to choose a topic related to risk and reliability in civil engineering and thoroughly address this problem. A small sample of example topics are: report on a reliability method not described in class; calculate reliability for a particular problem(s) of interest to you; compare the accuracy and/or efficiency of different reliability methods; develop a computational tool to automate one or more reliability methods. The final report is due the last class day. I highly recommend that you discus your planned project with me before you begin.
