Beta testing for new Microsoft Exchange Server product

The project involves testing of our new mail archiving solution designed for Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010. You will need a live exchange server with real mail accounts to install it and test it. We will be accepting multiple bids for this project. ## Deliverables The Archiving solution lets you archive Exchange mail remotely to our Archiving Service based on your policy criteria. Once archived, local copy of message is replaced with a link (referred to also as a "stub"), saving resources on your exchange server and workstations. By offloading the disk requirements into a cloud solution, your Exchange storage space is infinitely resizable and does not require any maintenance. When a user selects such message in Outlook, it is downloaded transparently without any additional steps by the end user. Messages can be additionally searched/viewed using web interface. You will be provided with technical assistance from us during the whole process in case you experience any issues or have any doubts regarding the software (this will help us improve the documentation etc). The test involves: 1) Installing the software on your Exchange Server 2) Archiving at least 500 emails 3) Verifying that the emails have been archived using the web interface 4) Installing the Outlook plug-in on some workstations to test the Outlook plug-in component 5) Keeping the Outlook plug-in installed on the workstations for few days to ensure it does not create any conflicts etc 6) Testing that you can find the archived messages using the web interface 7) Reporting back on any issues / bugs in the setup process, software or documentation 8) Feedback on possible improvements etc. We estimate initially 5-10 hours or more, depending on how many end users you will cover in your test. You can bid per hour or the whole project. We will mutually agree on extra hours if the initial 5-10 hours are not sufficient. In your bid, please include the following: 1) What version of Exchange server you will be testing on (2003, 2007 or 2010) 2) How many users are live on your Exchange Server, and whether you will be choosing to archive some or all mailboxes. 3) How many end users will get the Outlook plug-in installed (give approximation of how many workstations and what operating systems) 4) An estimation of how many emails you can archive (minimum 500) You are welcome to ask any questions prior to bidding. Unless agreed otherwise, deadline inital deployment and feedback is 5 calendar days from when the bid is awarded.
