This is a Raspberry Pi project. I need a keyboard interpreter/emulator created that can take standard keyboard scancode inputs and output these scancodes in a translated format to your choices of available GPIO pins. I have current C++ source code that does this that is 15+ years old and still works under DOS to model this after. The source code includes comments on each section and is very short. The compiled EXE is only 6KB. There are less than 100 lines of actual code to make this workin in CPP (minus comments).
There are probably two simple ways to do this: Take interrupts off of one USB input that has a normal keyboard, map them to the supplied mappings, and send them out via the GPIO pins.
Secondly, have a virtual keyboard interface on the screen for a touch screen that can send the commands to the GPIO pins.
This is listed as a simple project but could grow in size and scope with the right person. We will need all source code turn over to us for further development.
