I have a old school BBS program that was made for DOS and Dialup modems. I would like a clone of the user experience done. I'd prefer it to be in C or Python and would run on CentOS with MySql. I am open to this running on a windows machine written in something other then C.
All user data and statistics (number of calls, etc) would be stored in the database.
I'd like all prompts coded in to the system to cut down on sql access. Maybe in a .h? I can do the data entry of all the prompts to save you time once I know how you'd want them.
I attached a .zip of the program I want to simulate. If you have a windows 32bit machine you can open a command window, go to this folder and execute: [login to view URL]
On install choose 'social mode'.
Answer NO to all the questions and it will get you to a login prompt. There you can see all the functionality. I DO NOT need the menu options or code for:
- Library
- Database
- Order Entry
I would also like all mail and forums in the MySql DB.
Please give me the details of the platform and code that you'd like to write this in with your quote.
Thanks!
Rob
Hello
I'm interesting your project very well
I'm a Good C/C++, DB, DOS, Math, Algorithm expert.
I understand your req exactly.
I m quite well experienced in these jobs.
Let's go ahead with me
I want to service for you continously.
Thanks
Thanks for the memories!
I've recall all the hours I've spent on BBS before Internet was here.
I think the Ncurses library for C would been the perfect way to get the "old style" look of them.
MySQL is a bit big and heavy for this kind of project, If alternative is possible I would suggest SQLite.
I've try to run your software on my virtualbox (I use Linux for desktop), but it's telling me the file Multiple.1 is missing. (Along with other folders I've created to skip the warnings).
Feel free to contact me for any questions.
