Hi! How are you? I'm an embedded system engineer with good command in developing embedded software in C/C++ languages. I can handle your problem effectively. Based on the project description, you want to control a 'switch' (whatever you connect to it) remotely through the browser, am i alright? I propose the following solution: set up a web server in the Arduino with a simple web page running on it where you'll send the on/off input through the browser to the board. After the information is in the board we simply control the pin where the 'switch' is attached. We can put more input information in the web page to send the serial port commands.
