I send up to 50,000 SMS messages to mobile phones. The messages contain a URL which brings the users to a mobipage.
There are 2 deliverables to this project:
**Deliverable 1 - Generating Unique URLs Linked to Individual Mobile Phone Numbers**
The mobipage contains one test button that users click on. I need to be able to identify each individual phone number that clicks on the test button.
My understanding is that this is best done by generating a separate URL for each phone number.
I therefore need a programme written that generates unique URLs for each phone number. The programme will also need to link via API to an SMS gateway so that messages are sent from the database via the gateway's system to users.
The programme must be able to identify the analytics of how many numbers clicked on the test button as well as the individual phone numbers that click on each button.
**Deliverable 2 - Ensuring Video Streaming Through Mobile Phone Browsers
**The mobipage also contains a video that plays from the phones' browsers. Code has already been written to allow the video to stream via Youtube on iPhones and new androids while staying on the mobipage. A separate code has been written to allow video to be hosted on our server to stream to older androids and to Blackberrys while staying in the mobipage (older androids and blackberrys frequently will not play video streamed within a phone's browser via Youtube).
To facilitate identification of the various mobile phone models, functional device detection code has also already been written.
Deliverable 2 therefore requires these elements to be put together. The system must detect the device and send the correct video to the device so that it plays within the device's web browser.
