Digital Artist/Painter for Video Game background

General Information Cunning Force Games is looking for a digital artist to paint a series of 2D backgrounds for our latest video game – Magical Brickout. More information on the game itself can be found below: [login to view URL] Magical Brickout is divided into multiple “Themes”. Each Theme contains 6 levels and each level requires a different, hand painted background. We are looking for a digital artist to paint 5 of these levels at a time. Our current artist is using Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop to create a hand painted, oil on canvas look. You are free to use whatever digital tools you like so long as you remain consistent to our current look. See samples below. Our Workflow 1. Our artist will provide you with a hand drawn sketch for each level in a ready-to-paint PSD format. This template will be sized at 3840x2160 though only a portion of the center will require painting. Please do not resize this template. 2. You will then digitally paint that image (in the software of your choice) in a style similar to our current art. You are free to add/change minor things but beware, our level design is based upon the background art so please don’t alter it too much. You can always email us with your suggestions/ideas. 3. When complete you will then send us back the finished artwork in a PNG format - 3840x2160. Again, please don’t resize the template so that your art remains sharp the entire process. Payment We can pay $100 for 5 (digitally) hand painted images. We require that all these images to be finished within approximately 2 weeks of start. All payments will be made through Freelancer. You will also receive in game credit as a digital background artist. This is a great project for speed painters and/or students looking to get their talents exposed.
