A Photoshop script to generate text based on user input, and to reformat images.

I'm a Blu-ray Disc author and compressionist and do a lot of repeat work for a client who has a Photoshop menu template (which I designed). All the discs use this very similar menu. The menu has two Scene Selection pages with thumbnail images, and on Blu-ray, the menu buttons have both Normal and Selected/Highlighted states (the "Normal" state is usually a black and white image of the highlighted state). There are also Special Features pages, and some of the special features have "pre-movie" text - for example, a description saying "This interview was filmed in XXXX, and features XXXX, press the below button to play it". Blu-ray menus are created by structuring a Photoshop document in a certain way (I can provide examples) which is then read by the authoring software. I have some automation in place already using scripts provided by the authoring software developer, but the process is still not as efficient as I would like. Here's what my ideal goal for a script would be: * Read screen grabs from the movie, stored as [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] (etc) from a specified folder, and automatically build the scene selection pages using these screen grabs. * Read a list of text strings and turn these into buttons in the Special Features menu. * Read a list of text strings and turn these into the "pre-movie" text pages. A bonus would be if we could visualize this for the client simply (eg by flattening the menu pages and dumping them out as JPG or PNG images) for quick email to the client, so I can quickly show changes as they request them.
