USER PROFILES
Users log in using their facebook credentials. The site stores a profile for each user, with information from his facebook profile and the history of his contributions on the site.
FUNCTIONALITY
Users may search, create and edit discussion pages. Each discussion page is composed of a discussion title, a variable number of sections with three columns of arguments: for, against and neutral. At the bottom of the page, there are two section sections - 'References' and 'Panel' - also with the same three columns. A user may create a page by first searching for a topic. At the bottom of the search results, the user is presented with a button to create a new page. He may do so simply by supplying a page title. In some ways the process should not be too dissimilar from creating a facebook page. The discussion page may, for instance, also be represented by an image, and be 'followed' by users. Once the page is created, users may add and change sections and arguments. Contributing users are not able to delete discussion pages, sections and arguments, only editors are. All changes are tracked, and a link on the page brings up the history of changes with the ability of comparing two versions. Next to each argument credit should be given to the user who contributed it, or the last user to make a significant change to it (changed it by more than 50%).
Users may also vote arguments up or down, as in [login to view URL] and stackoverflow.com. When adding an argument, the user is required to provide a source reference to the argument. The source references are displayed next to the arguments as footnote indices linking to the 'References' section. The 'Panel' contains profiles of individuals and organizations invited by editors to participate in the discussion.
RANKING
A 'Rankings' page shows what's trending in the discussion pages with a list of the topics most followed and most hotly debated (i.e. with most changes). The page also shows a ranking of the top contributing users, and the users with the most votes for their contributed arguments.
INTERFACE
Page creation and editing should be user friendly and not require any knowledge of wiki syntax.
SHARING
Users are able to share discussion pages on facebook, twitter and other usual sharing channels.
