Background:
I have created a DLL written in VB6 that I use in my applications, this works as a license control component. This works perfect for my applications.
How it works:
This DLL creates a file in e.g Windows folder where it put some user info etc.
The problem:
This works great if the user have full access to the system (if he's an administrator, or have the correct write/read rights), but if the user not are allowed to write/read to the e.g windows folder (because of the User Account settings) this operation will naturally fail, returning an error code.
What I need is a solution to fix this problem.
If you write me some code, it should be written in VB6, and it should only be the read/write file function.
