I'm a beginner to VB and I was wondering, when you create a VB application which connects to a database (e.g. an Access database) and you compile the program - does the user need a copy of Access (for example) installed on their PC in order to use your application? Or does VB just compile the data (e.g. a single .mdb file)? If VB just compiles the data, what happens if the user wants to add new data, i.e. can VB handle modifications to the data file without a copy of the database application and, if so, how?
I hope the questions aren't too silly. By definition, newbies are inclined to ask odd questions!
