Airline Reservation system

An airline reservation system needs to be developed in VB.NET or in VB and the database can be in Microsoft Access. And this system is not meant for customers to use/operate on it. In other words, it's a kind of system that a travel agent would use. **Overview :** You are to develop an airline reservations and booking system to record and maintain information relating to 100 airlines, the flights for each airline, customers and ticket bookings. The system will include a number of enquiry screens to assist the airline staff when making bookings and for checking in passengers prior to flight departure. In addition the system will provide several reports for management. ## Deliverables **Data Requirements (Minimum ??" additional data should be defined) :** The system should record the following information. Airline code, name and country, Customer id, name, address, phone, frequent flyer status, seating preference, Flight number, date and time, departure city, destination city, maximum seats, no. of bookings, Booking id, customer id, flight number, date booked, class, seat number **Transactions : **Maintenance screen for airlines Maintenance screen for customers Maintenance screen for flights Add/change/cancel a booking Customer check-in and seat allocation **Enquiries : **Display all flights on a given date ??" include all flight info. Display all bookings for a customer ??" id, name address, all booking info. **Printed Reports : **List all customers ??" all customer info. List all airlines ??" all airline info. List all bookings in a given date range ??" include date range, all booking info. Seat availability report showing how many seats are available for each flight. Boarding pass. **Other Requirements : **When a booking is made the system must check whether there are any seats available on the flight and update the “no. of bookings?? field. The system should include password protection at admin and user level, and backup facilities. An additional transaction, enquiry or report, appropriate for the system (involving at least two tables) should be included.
