The goal of this project is to develop an ADA-based multitask application for simulation of a low speed automatic collision avoidance system for cars in an urban environment. It should help to prevent rear- end collisions and should be functional up to 30 kph of speed.
The system has a laser sensor built into the windscreen that reacts to traffic in front that is either stationary or moving in the same direction. The system scans up to 6 meters and makes several calculations a second to determine the braking force needed to avoid crashing when sensing the difference in speed between it and a vehicle in front is dangerously decreasing.
Requirements: ADA language and Project in programm GPS (Java, PHP etc. not)
