Need a script to run on a CentOS server to send html email to selected recipients for appt. reminders and information messages at set intervals. All data is in a mySql database. Script should run on a daily basis, determine who needs an email, determine which email they need and then send the html email content to the client. All database and web-form work is already completed. All we need is the script to send the emails to the clients as described above.
We have a mySql database with all of the emails and the date of birth. Based on the date of birth or sign-up date, we need to send different emails at different intervals- when the user signs up, if they do not qualify based on age, a 1 month email, 3 month email, 11 month email, 15 month email, etc.
On a daily schedule, we'd like the script to run and send the emails to the appropriate contacts based on checking the database birthdate and calculating who needs which email. The body of the email should allow for embedded images, etc. It can't be plain text. We can put that into html or whatever might work best to facilitate that, we will do that work, we just need advice. The script should also update the mysql db with which email was sent.
