Development of Home Replacement Application and Engine for Android Devices

The software to be developed would be a total home replacement application that would override the stock application that comes in all Android devices. This is target more for the lower end Android phones (with 528Mhz processors) and with lower RAM specifications (e.g. G1/HTC Dream with only 192MB). This Home Replacement is akin to "Slidescreen" application. However, this would be a light home replacement as it should NOT be laggy or unresponsive to the users. No widgets are allowed (as it would take too much processing power). Instead, there would be some social networks integrated into the engine. Switching between the home app and dialer should be nearly instantaneous and should not lag. This would require a change of the Home and Dialer app (apk). The key aspect of this project is to create an experience that is 'simple' and 'responsive' yet 'attractive'. The app should also be scalable, and take the various screen sizes that are in the market (e.g. 320*480, 200*400, 480*800, etc.) This app if successful will be sold on Android Market.
