Replace existing flat HTML Rugby Club Website ( [login to view URL] ) with a DNN portal.
No coding, just a pure content managed site. Due to lack of time (and ability if I'm honest) I need somebody to get this done as soon as possible - ie within 1 week.
There will be ongoing work managing and enhancing , and if this goes well I have a couple of other larger projects I want to start which will include graphic design, skin development, copy writing, marketing and optimisation.
## Deliverables
I have made a start at this - [login to view URL], but as mentioned above I don't have the time or skill to finish this project.
The main difference between the old and new site is that each team will have a section that their coaches will update with match reports, pictures, news, contact details etc. (I feel this may be beyond the technical skill of some of our coaches so they may email this to you (via me) to go straight onto the site).
See the attached PDF. There needs to be 4 static banner ads sitewide at the bottom of the page. Each team will then have 5 ads on the right hand side of their page. I had trouble getting my head around the way DNN handles Vendors and banner ads and to be honest I think this will be too complicated for our needs. Just well spaced "slots" that images can be placed in that click through to another website.
My other main problem with DNN is I couldn't find a way to show "straplines / teasers" that then link to a text/html section. For instance match reports I would like the ability to show:
"Sat 27th September 2008 - Petersfield 26 Portsmouth 18
Petersfield opened strongly and dominated the game from the start with a bright sunny day ... [click here to read more]" - Obviously this should then click through to a full length match report.
I see there being 10 - 20 hours getting this up and running initially and then an ongoing 2 - 3 hours per week general webmaster type role. I might be wrong though and this may need more time to setup initially.
Anyway, my name is now mud because the club has taken money from advertisers but doesn't have the ability to show the ads so the sooner this could be up and running the better.
**I would be willing to pay a bonus to somebody who is willing to put some effort in to turn this around quickly** and recognises there will be ongoing work from this site and a couple of others I am planning to develop.
Nothing too flash for now - I just need something up and running quickly. Please give examples of other DNN sites you are involved with.
Thanks a lot.
