This is a data-entry project which can either be done manually with a small team, or perhaps a clever programmer working individually can find a way to automate it. I don't care how it gets done, I just want the final result: In the attachment, there are two files: [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] Your task is to update the file [login to view URL]: Replacing the NULL value in the CIK column, with the correct value. You may use the file [login to view URL] to help you, and also online sources such as [login to view URL], and edgar-online.com. Every company in the [login to view URL] has a CIK number, your job is to find it. The [login to view URL] file has 7,505 records, of which approximately 1,000 are already populated with the CIK, leaving 6,500 for you to find. The [login to view URL] contains actually all of the information necessary to complete this project, but manual data entry is required because of differences in spelling or legal variations of the company names. To check your work, use this site: [login to view URL] check procedure: enter the CIK into the site above, then navigate to the 10-K form, and scroll to Item 5... example for CIK 0000002098, it says: The Company's Common Stock is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol "ACU". So, there you go, the CIK for ACU is 0000002098. We require 99% accuracy, so, you can have up to 65 mistakes in the final uploaded file. The [login to view URL] site mentioned above will be the deciding factor for accuracy checking. The SEC site allows you to lookup the Symbol for a given CIK fairly easily, but does not support looking up the CIK for a given Symbol at all. That is why it is only useful for checking the accuracy. In your bid, please post your time estimate (number of days).
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
