We have a server on which we have some web-development projects. Each project is organized under a different directory in /home and assigned to a different Unix-user. Sometimes multiple coders have access to a single project. We need a CVS code repository on this server, so that coders can track changes and maintain some kind of versioning and make sure changes by a different coder are not overwritten. Specifically we need someone to: 1) Install and configure CVS server on the box 2) Provide a web-GUI for browsing different versions. 3) Select a free/OS client for Win-XP which we can use to access the code repository 4) Provide a small Howto for our coders with instructions to use the CVS and do's & don't. It would be great if you can address the issue of the overhead involved for me as an admin each time I have to create a new project. What measures do I have to take to provide CVS for this new project. Thank you for your bid!
