!!!Do not bid if you do not have the answer!!!
We need a java applet to browse network drives and restrict the browsing to a specific folder on the network, then select a file to get its path.
This should be used on a website, using the user's permissions.
Our user has access to \\[login to view URL]\file_exchange\
We wish him to select only files within \\[login to view URL]\file_exchange\transfer_to_administration
He selects \\[login to view URL]\file_exchange\transfer_to_administration\[login to view URL]
This gets returned to the website.
NOTE:
-We know how to do this for local files but need help on doing it on network files. (We have an applet that shows files in a jTree. We have succesfully made it work with local files "C:/", "C:/somedir" but cant make it work with network files like "//[login to view URL]" )
-We are on windows environment.
**********FTP, HTTP or mapping are NOT AN OPTION************
