Build E-commerce Application Version 2 + Stabilize/Maintain Existing Codebase

This is an on-going job opportunity for independent freelancers only (no agencies). We are looking for someone with knowledge both as a backend and frontend developer. There are two major priorities for this job role: #1 - Our custom e-commerce application was recently built by a web agency. We are looking for someone who can maintain/update this existing code. In general, the candidate will need to fix bugs, make small modifications, and stabilize the codebase. #2 - While the current website serves our purpose for the present, it will not meet our requirements for the future. We are looking for someone to help build out Version 2 of our custom application, in order to replace current version. The candidate will need to be knowledgeable with building a full web application, PHP frameworks, responsive CSS, jQuery, and GIT. Necessary skills required are: - PHP + building custom e-commerce - jQuery - HTML5, CSS3 (Responsive) - MySQL - GIT - English-speaking - Communicative The website for our e-commerce web app is http://www.cromatti.com. Our company sells high-end, customizable furniture. It is very image intensive and there is a lot of dynamic front-end functionality. This is an on-going job. As the company grows, there will definitely be opportunities for consistent work. Even after Version 2 is released, it will need to be maintained, and there will be regular frontend/backend changes needed. The candidate will work directly with me. It's important that we build an understanding and a relationship together, so we will use video conferencing regularly (mostly like Skype or something similar). I have a technical background, so I can explain tasks in detail and can work with any concerns/problems that you might have. Communication is the most important factor. It is preferable that our timezones share some working hours, however this is not necessary for the right candidate. An Agile-based ticketing system will be used in order to organize the necessary tasks. Lastly, code samples will be required from potential candidates in order to verify skillset.
